January 2021 - Final Issue - Year in Preview Monthly video game column published monthly in the Burstall Mainstreeter
I've got hundreds of pounds of video game magazines I bought during the 90s. I love them dearly. The layouts, personalities, corney ads, reader mail, rumours, reviews, covers and the period of information contained.
In the spirit of 'it's never too late', I decided to submit a full-page monthly video game article to my local paper to brighten some kids' day.
One year project and this page is updated monthly.

Final Issue - Year in Preview
The final issue in the series of 12. This has been a really fun project to work on since every month I could submit whatever I wanted and lay it out however I felt.
It was exciting to see it printed in the monthly town paper along side articles I was so familiar with. I thought having a game column in there was cool and I hope there is some kid out there who thought so too.
I grew up reading a handful of game publications every month, just pouring over everything, even the legal small print (since there was easter egg text in Game Players that was fun). I wanted to be a part of that scene but never made the move. This has been that outlet to scratch the decades long itch and hoo-boy it was satisfying.
Each issue was a full month of info directly to the veins!
